Tim Feldmann
Tim Feldmann is the director of Miami Life Center, which he co-founded with Kino MacGregor and Matt Tashjian. Authorized to teach by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath Jois, Tim integrates his deep knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga, functional anatomy, and meditation with his background as a professional dancer. Known for his humorous and profound teaching style, he travels extensively, sharing the traditional Ashtanga method worldwide.
Richard Freeman
Richard Freeman has been a student of yoga since 1968, studying various traditions across Asia, including Sufism, Zen, and Bhakti, which he integrates into Ashtanga yoga as taught by K. Pattabhi Jois. His deep knowledge of both Western and Eastern philosophy, along with his unique, metaphorical teaching style, makes him a respected instructor at the Yoga Workshop in Boulder, Colorado, and worldwide.
Dena Kingsberg
Dena Kingsberg has been studying and practicing traditional Ashtanga yoga for over 30 years. She is a devoted long term student of the late Sri K.Pattabhi Jois. She remains committed, deeply inspired and continuously amazed by the vast healing potential of this life changing practice. Dena has a disciplined, yet lyrical style of teaching. Her holistic approach looks beyond external form to guide the individual residing within.
David Swenson
David Swenson began practicing yoga at the age of 13 under the guidance of his older brother Doug, and later was introduced to Asthanga Yoga in 1973 by David Williams and Nancy Gilgoff in Enciintas, California. At their invitation Sri K. Pattabhi Jois made his first trip to the U.S. in 1975 and David was fortunate to meet and begin study with him. Two years later David made his first trip to Mysore, India and learned the full Ashtanga system from Pattabhi Jois. David teaches yoga throughout the world and is recognized today as one of the world’s foremost practitioners and teachers of Ashtanga Yoga.
Eddie Stern
Eddie Stern is a highly respected Yoga teacher, lecturer, author, and scholar with over three decades of experience. A direct student of Pattabhi Jois, Eddie is known for his deep understanding of the tradition and his ability to make the practice accessible to all. He is the founder of the Broome Street Ganesha Temple in New York, where he has taught and inspired countless students. Eddie’s work bridges the gap between ancient wisdom and modern life, making him a key figure in the global Ashtanga community.
Mark Robberds
Mark has been a dedicated yoga student since 1997 and was certified in the Ashtanga Method in 2010. Continually expanding his expertise, he has studied under movement masters like Ido Portal and handbalancing experts Miguel Sant'ana and Yuval Ayalon. Certified in Functional Range Conditioning, Kinstretch, and MovNat, Mark integrates ancient yoga wisdom with modern movement and science to help students reach their full potential.
Tim Miller
Tim Miller has been studying and teaching Ashtanga Yoga for over thirty years and was the first American certified by Pattabhi Jois. He shared a close relationship with Guruji, assisting him on several US teaching tours, which deeply influenced his dynamic and compassionate teaching style.
Kino MacGregor
Kino MacGregor is a renowned Ashtanga Yoga teacher, author, and co-founder of Miami Life Center. With over two decades of practice, she is one of the few people worldwide to receive certification to teach Ashtanga Yoga by Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. Kino is dedicated to sharing the transformative power of Ashtanga through her global teaching, online platforms, and publications.
Manju Jois
Manju Jois, the eldest son of Ashtanga Yoga founder Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, is a master teacher with over five decades of experience. Raised in the heart of the Ashtanga tradition, Manju has dedicated his life to preserving and teaching the authentic practice of Ashtanga Yoga worldwide. He is known for his deep knowledge, gentle teaching style, and commitment to carrying forward his father's legacy.
Mary Taylor
Mary Taylor is a seasoned Ashtanga Yoga teacher with over three decades of experience. She began her practice under the guidance of Pattabhi Jois in the early 1980s and has since become a respected instructor known for her compassionate and insightful teaching style. Mary co-founded the Yoga Workshop in Boulder, Colorado, with her husband, Richard Freeman, and continues to share her deep understanding of yoga through classes, workshops, and writings.
Jack Wiseman
Jack Wiseman is an experienced Ashtanga Yoga teacher known for his dedicated practice and clear, supportive teaching style. He has studied extensively under the guidance of senior Ashtanga teachers and has a deep understanding of the traditional method. Jack is passionate about helping students connect with the essence of Ashtanga Yoga, offering guidance that balances both the physical and spiritual aspects of the practice.
Laruga Glaser
Laruga Glaser has been practicing Ashtanga yoga for over 28 years. She was drawn to it in her early 20s after exploring other forms of yoga. Her committed practice led her to study annually in Mysore, India, at KPJAYI with the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and now with R. Sharath Jois. Having made over 15 trips to Mysore, she continues to evolve as both a student and teacher. Laruga is one of the few worldwide certified to teach up to Advanced B, a distinction earned through years of dedication. She honors the practice's lineage, teaching with deep passion, and creating space to inspire others to realize their potential. Laruga has been invited to share her knowledge globally, fostering growth and transformation in those she teaches.
